Mauser M18 LR Chassis Rifle - MDT Mention

In 2018, the pioneer of modern bolt-action rifle systems, Mauser, released their Mauser 18 family of rifles. While the M18 is now a distant relative to the classic Mauser design, the company is still pushing the boundaries of bolt-action engineering. Mauser’s M18 was designed in-house by Mauser and was crafted to be their best example of a modern bolt-action rifle. For long-range precision, Mauser released the Mauser M18 LR Chassis rifle.

The Mauser M18 LR pairs the M18 3-three lug action with the modularity-focused MDT Oryx Chassis System. This rifle includes a Mauser Match Machine action, an M18x1 threaded 24.4-inch-long cold hammer forged barrel, and a Picatinny optics rail. The action is embedded in the previously mentioned MDT Oryx Chassis, which features a detachable sling swivel on the butt and forend, a bipod adapter, M-LOK slots, a pistol grip, an adjustable cheek riser, and a Length-of-pull spacer kit.

This rifle weighs in at 4.5 kilograms (9.9 lbs.), has a total length of 110 Centimeters (43 inches), and is offered in .243 Win, 6XC, 6.5 Creedmoor, and .308 Win. With powerful optics and a good shooter, this rifle is set up to push the distance of the M18 family of rifles. Ten-round proprietary Mauser detachable magazines feed the Mauser 18 LR Rifle, offering quicker ammo replenishment than a standard top action loading bolt-action rifle.

The Rifle’s low weight, ergonomic adjustment capabilities, and included pistol grip provide shooters with a well-rounded rifle setup that can be used for hunting, match shooting, and plinking. The Mauser 18 LR Rifle can be purchased from FFLs with four commonly used caliber options. It provides shooters of all sizes and skill levels with a solid platform to get into long-distance shooting or add the classic Mauser name to their arsenal.
