MDT Mention - A Truly Modern Hunting Rifle - Nosler Model 21 CCH

The trusted and highly regarded ammunition brand Nosler is well known in the shooting world for making some of the best hunting ammo around for the past 70 years. Despite being known for their ammo, Nosler has been delving into the firearms manufacturing process since 2018. While Nosler’s current rifle selection is small, they feature fantastic craftsmanship and build quality. The Model 48 rifle debuted in 2018, and it now has three different variations you can buy new. Nosler has been selling the Model 48 handgun, Long-Range, and Mountain models, based on the same action with different length barrels and stocks. The ammo giant has recently announced their Long-Range Model 21 CCH (Carbon Chassis Hunter), which features an MDT HNT26 Chassis System.

The Nosler Model 21 CCH comes from the factory with a PROOF Sendero Contour Carbon Fiber Barrel, blueprinted Model 21 Action, hardened 4340 Chrome Molybdenum fluted bolt, which features a nitride coating, and a Trigger Tech trigger. As previously mentioned, the Nosler CCH comes with an MDT HNT26 Chassis System. Gun Talk Media’s “KJ” Jarnagin reviewed the Model 21 CCH on YouTube and had great things to say about it.

Jarnagin points out the collapsible stock, ARCA rail, and the lightweight nature of the Nosler Model 21 CCH. KJ says he took the rifle on a hunting trip with some of his children, and it was a perfect fit because of all the extras he had to bring along in his bag, such as drinks and snacks, which increased his pack weight. Jarnagin nabbed a buck on his first trip with the Model 21 CCH, which is undoubtedly the first of many.

NOSLER HUNTING RIFLES

Before the Model 21 CCH was conceived, the Model 48 broke into the hunting scene. In addition to the Model 48 Action, the Model 48 “Mountain” features a Timney 2 position safety Trigger, a carbon fiber hunter style stock, and a 24” Sendero Carbon fiber wrapped cut-rifled barrel. The Long Range Model 48 is essentially the same rifle as the Mountain Model with a longer 26” PROOF Sendero barrel and a Manners carbon fiber stock. The “Handgun” Model 48 has a 15” barrel and a chopped-down pistol grip stock, making it easy to transport.

The Nosler Model 21, named “2022’s Best New Hunting Rifle” by ‘Field and Stream’ came onto the market fairly recently and has been met with positive reviews and feedback. The Model 21 comes from the factory with an upgraded bolt, a wire EDM machined receiver, a TriggerTech trigger, and a Shilen match-grade stainless steel barrel. This rifle is advertised as a “Rifle for the Next Decade.” Nosler put a lot of thought into this rifle series.
