MDT Releases Remington 700 Short and Long Action Inlets for the MDT Field Stock

To provide more chassis compatibility options, the MDT Field Stock is now offered for Remington 700 short actions and Remington Long actions, bringing its total Remington compatible options to fifty-plus, including all Remington 700 short action clones.

At 3.1 lbs and 32.22 inches, the Field Stock packs features into an aluminum-reinforced polymer rifle Stock with vertical pistol grip and length of pull adjustability, features not commonly found on traditional hunting rifles. The forend of the Field Stock is 11.87 inches long and has twelve M-LOK compatible slots on its bottom and both sides. These slots can be used to mount bipods, levels, handstops, and many other accessories not supported by most common hunting Stocks. Both ends of the Field Stock have sling studs, making the rifle easier to carry than one equipped with a traditional Stock and grip.

Key Features of the MDT Field Stock:

  • Swivel studs and M-LOK forend.
  • One size fits all with an adjustable buttstock cheek riser and length of pull spacers.
  • Easy installation.
  • At home in the field or on the range.
  • V-Block bedding for rigidity and stiffness that dramatically improves accuracy.
  • Free-floated barrel.
  • AICS magazine compatible.
  • Available in Black, FDE, and the all-new ODG option.

Adjustability is a key factor that has a sizable impact on a rifle’s ergonomics. The adjustable cheek riser and length of pull provided by the Field Stock allow shooters and hunters of all sizes more comfort and ease of use. Adding to shooter comfort, the Field Stock’s polymer body is warmer to the touch and remains warmer on cold days than a traditional wood hunting rifle Stock. The Field Stock’s shape and material composition makes it an all-around contender for those who want to hunt, plink, backpack with it, or shoot at longer distances. It can withstand harsh weather and use without sacrificing performance.

At the heart of the Field Stock is MDT V-Block bedding, which is composed of machine-tapered aluminum to secure the rifle’s action within the chassis. This provides consistent contact between the chassis and action and improves accuracy by minimizing movement during firing and transport. An important aspect of the Field Stock is that it only requires two screws to be tightened for installation, meaning there is no gunsmithing required to swap a traditional hunting rifle Stock for the Field Stock.

Another key feature of the Field Stock is its acceptance of AICS magazines. With different variations of AICS magazines, hunters can tailor their magazine choice to their hunt for the best experience possible while utilizing large AICS magazines when necessary. The Field Stock is offered for Remington, Ruger, Howa, Tikka, Savage, Winchester, and CZ actions.
