I have learned a lot of what I know about long-range shooting from reading and researching the likes of Mike Lilly and Scott Satterlee. This article will summarize what Scott and Mike believe is the future of modern long-distance hunting technology. In the video on the Lillys YouTube channel titled "Modern Hunting Rifles With Scott Satterlee," the duo start by reviewing their idea of a "modern traditional" hunting rifle, then showcasing Scott's idea of a First-generation "Ultra Modern" rifle and finish the video by reviewing Scott's most recent evolution of the "Ultra Modern" hunting rifle.

The "Modern Traditional" hunting rifle example Scott shows Mike is a classic Remington 700-style action in a Manners EH1 traditional hunting rifle stock. Scott says the biggest jump in long-distance shooting technology today involves the use of ballistic calculation devices, better optics, and various laser devices. When asked how quickly he can change calibers on his "Ultra Modern" rifle, Scott says he can jump from caliber to caliber in 15 minutes.
