NEW V-MOUNT ADAPTERS FOR MDT SEND IT GEN2 ELECTRONIC LEVEL

NEW V-MOUNT ADAPTERS FOR MDT SEND IT GEN2 ELECTRONIC LEVEL

Adaptability is key, especially with a precision rifle. Whether you're competing in the Precision Rifle Series, NRL Hunter, or any other match format, your ability to adjust your rifle to changing conditions can make or break a match. And it's not just competition shooters pushing the envelope. Many hunters are now applying precision rifle concepts to their field setups, whether it's a lightweight elk rifle or a predator rig built around thermals or night vision. Rifles and how people use them are evolving, and naturally, the accessories around them need to evolve too.

In recent years, the MDT SEND IT GEN2 Electronic Level has become essential for shooters aiming to eliminate cant and improve consistency at long distances. It has proven effective both on the clock and in the field. However, while the level itself has gained widespread use, the number of mounting options remains limited. Traditionally, most users have attached it directly to the Picatinny rail on the rifle's action. This method works—until it doesn't. Large optics, night vision, thermals, or even split rails on lightweight action limit available mounting space, leaving shooters with limited or less-than-ideal mounting positions.

That's where MDT's latest release comes into play.

NEW M-LOK & SPUHR V-MOUNT ADAPTERS

With the introduction of the S90 SPUHR to V-Mount Adapter and the M-LOK to V-Mount 90° Adapter, MDT is expanding its V-Mount ecosystem in a meaningful way. These adapters aren't flashy, but they solve a real issue by allowing precise mounting of necessary accessories exactly where you need them.

At a high level, these adapters bridge mounting systems. The SPUHR adapter allows shooters running a Spuhr mount to integrate directly with MDT's V-Mount interface. At the same time, the M-LOK version opens that same capability to any chassis or forend equipped with M-LOK slots. In practical terms, this frees shooters from being tied to a single mounting location or interface. You can now reposition accessories like the SEND IT GEN2 level off the top rail and place them where they make the most sense for your setup. For example, if you're running a thermal sight that leaves no usable space on an optic rail, you can move the SEND IT GEN2 to an open M-LOK slot elsewhere on the rifle.

FLEXIBILITY IS KEY

That flexibility is more important than it might seem at first. Rifle setups today are more complicated than ever. With large optics, clip-on devices, and other mission-specific accessories, space is at a premium. Being able to move a level—or any accessory—can make your rifle look cleaner, improve ergonomics, and even boost performance.

MDT not only adapted mounting interfaces but also added an omnidirectional Picatinny section to the M-LOK adapter. This enables shooters to attach traditional rail-based accessories or remove the rail for a direct V-Mount setup. This simple feature enhances versatility, letting you choose your preferred configuration.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Okay, so to summarize, what does this mean for shooters? Shooters want and need adaptable systems—systems that are flexible. The S90 SPUHR to V-Mount Adapter and M-LOK to V-Mount 90° Adapter do just that by expanding where and how you can mount essential accessories, such as the MDT SEND IT GEN2 Electronic Level. Really, this release reflects the direction of the precision rifle industry.

These may seem like basic additions, but they address real issues for modern rifle setups. In a discipline where small details often make the biggest difference, that extra flexibility is exactly what many shooters have been waiting for.

It’s another incremental—but meaningful—step toward a fully modular rifle ecosystem, where your setup can evolve as your shooting demands do.
