Why Am I Missing My Shots?

I just upgraded to a new barreled action, scope, and chassis, but I'm struggling to stay on target after each shot. I’m having trouble spotting my impacts and misses, and I’m still pulling shots.

Here’s the good news: it might not be a skill issue—it could be a rifle setup issue. In this video, two pro shooters with completely different rifle setups swap rifles and demonstrate how dramatically an improperly set up rifle can affect your shots. They’ll also show you how to identify the issue and make the necessary adjustments to get back on track.

Here’s the situation— We’ve got Mari, our beginner; she’s brand new to bolt rifles, but does have some airgun experience. And we’ve got Andy, our instructor; he’s been shooting and instructing professionally for years, and was the winner of the 2024 AG Cup.

We’re paring these two up for one purpose; To take a novice shooter out of their comfort zone, and onto hitting steel at 1 mile.

In this video, we share essential tips to help you sharpen your target acquisition skills, whether you're competing in a PRS match, or NRL Hunter.
