MDT 10-round magazines are approximately ¾” shorter in height than standard AICS 10-round magazines due to MDT’s unique Double Stack to Single Feed (DSSF) transition design, allowing easier mag changes when shooting prone.
10-round magazine includes 2 internal ribs that help reduce friction between the cartridge and magazine body and provide a smooth transition from a double stack to single feed at the top of the magazine.

- The magazines with front binder plates are compatible with all rifles equipped with AICS-pattern bottom metal or chassis systems. The binder plate holds the cartridges back from the front of the magazines and guides them past the bottom of the feed ramp. The maximum cartridge overall length (COAL) that will fit in this magazine is 2.870”.
- The magazines without front binder plates allow a maximum cartridge overall length of 2.960”. These are compatible with all AICS-pattern bottom metal and chassis systems, but most common actions such as Remington 700 and Savage 10/11 will require modifications to the receiver (i.e. notching out the bottom of the feed ramp) to prevent the bullet tips from catching on the bottom of the feed ramp.

I purchased originally the mag with the plate and decided to return it and get the version without the plate so I could increase my casings over all length. They were extremely helpful and helped make the switch. Both mags were great quality and work great with my ESS Chasis for a Tikka T3x 6.5 Creedmoore.

10rd mag without binder plate feeds every round every time in my Tikka 6. 5 CM in a KRG Bravo stock. I load long, over 2. 900, and this mag gets me there. Very nicely built and no feed lip adjustments needed. Doesn't scratch my cases either which other makes do.

I recently upgraded my Gen 1 Ruger American Predator to the MDT Field Stock and purchased one 10 round MDT polymer/metal magazine and one 10 round metal MDT magazine with it. Both of them function flawlessly. The straight metal mag is more compact but the polymer one feels better and looks better in my opinion. I will definitely be picking up a 3-round flush magazine next. I’m happy with the purchase.

These are great mags. They look great and are super durable. They are a little smaller than the polymer mags but they function much easier and they come packaged in simple plastic zip lock bags. I wish they came in cardboard. Overall great mags and I will be buying more.

Once I bought MDT mags I will never go back to any others. You might be able to but multiple other mags for the price of one but I would rather spend more on one and have quality and reliability. Great product and will continue to buy.
